This man was quoted an eye-watering price for an oil change for his Vantage at Aston Martin, but a Kansas mechanic saved the day.
When the owner of an Aston Martin Vantage was quoted $2,000 for an oil change, he desperately wanted an alternative.
So he brought the car to David Long, otherwise known as The Car Wizard on YouTube.
From the get-go, Long assured the owner that it would cost between 75 and 80 percent less than it would have at the dealership.

Aston Martin quoted this Vantage owner $2,000 for an oil change – so he went elsewhere
When an Aston Martin Vantage owner took his car to a dealer for an annual service, he likely wasn’t expecting the price he was quoted.
It would be $2,000 just for an oil change and a check-up.
At that point, he decided to check out his alternatives and headed over to David Long, AKA The Car Wizard.
Long assured him that it would be a ton cheaper than the dealership.

The car had spent five years with its owner and looked pretty good – no visible signs of wear on the interior.
And the exterior looked fresh, too.
Even draining the oil was an easy job, as no panels needed to be removed.
“In the time it takes you to do this oil change [On a Vantage], it’d be just enough time for you to get the belly [panels] off a Mercedes GLC,” Long commented.

Ultimately, he charged the owner the much more reasonable price of $300 for the oil change and check-up.
The Car Wizard has worked his magic before
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen The Car Wizard solve a car problem like it was nothing.
He’d previously fixed a 2013 Toyota Avalon with a $10 part – after four different dealerships had been left stumped by its issues.
He also took on a Chevrolet Malibu that was considered ‘possessed’ by its owner, and a 2002 Mercedes E320 that had fallen victim to coffee spills.

He did draw the line at fixing a 1996 F-150, though, but for a very good reason.
